Manager, Finance - HSAA

The Health Sciences Association of Alberta is a progressive union representing approximately 26,000 paramedical, professional and technical members. Our staff are committed to delivering high-quality services to our members.

The position:

We are looking for a full time Manager, Finance, that will work out of the Edmonton office reporting to the Executive Director. This out-of-scope position will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the Union and works collaboratively with key stakeholders in the development of strategies to meet its financial obligations. With exposure to a broad range of activities and projects, this opportunity will support your career development and aspirations!

What you bring:

You are a motivated, collaborative, values-driven leader with a minimum of ten years’ experience at the management level. You obtained a university degree specializing in accounting, business, economics, or finance. Your experience working within a unionized environment and your professional accounting designation are assets which will set you up for success in your new and challenging career path. Equivalencies may be considered.

As the leader of our Finance team, your aptitude for creating an engaging and system-based work environment will allow you to successfully guide your team in meeting the Union’s financial objectives. You are strategic in your approach and adept at establishing financial policies and procedures to support efficient operations. Your high standard of accountability supports your ability to establish financial credibility with internal and external stakeholders. You have a thorough understanding of and commitment to trade union philosophy and public healthcare.

Competitive compensation: $120,000-$140,000
